Workshop III: Living Better; Self-Management & Daily Care (Rev.)

This workshop focuses on practical, evidence-informed strategies that help people living with Sjögren’s improve daily functioning, manage symptoms, and enhance quality of life through simple, sustainable routines and tools.

Topics include:

  • Self-management strategies & daily routines (Physiotherapist): Practical approaches to managing fatigue, pain, and mobility through structured movement, pacing, and adapted daily habits.
  • Occupational therapy tools (Occupational therapist): Practical aids, environmental adaptations, and energy-conservation techniques to support independence in everyday activities.
  • Patient expert perspective (Patient expert): Real-life experience and practical advice on what works in daily life, including coping strategies and long-term adaptation.

 

Outcomes:
Participants will leave with realistic, applicable self-management tools, improved understanding of how physiotherapy and occupational therapy can support daily living, and practical insights from lived experience to better navigate everyday challenges with Sjögren’s.
